Why do people go to stores and buy name-brand products for $100 when they might have been built for only $5. That’s a huge gap. The gap is filled by advertising. People like brands they recognize and are willing to pay up for it. Will that gap decrease? I’m not sure. We are inundated with up to 2500 advertising messages a day. The advertising industry is a trillion dollar industry. There’s money there because it works. It gets people to buy more than they normally would.
